About Us

Agelgil Ethiopian Restaurant is named after a handwoven Ethiopian basket and it is a traditional Ethiopian food container.

We provide authentic traditional Ethiopian dishes. we serve vegetable, vegan, and meat dishes in the form of wot, a thick stew, or tibs, a sautee of grilled meat along with vegetables, served over injera.

Sharing Plate

Food in Ethiopia is served on a platter known as a gebeta, a large circular plate. Injera is placed on the gebeta, then the different stews, curries, or vegetables, that you’ve ordered are placed on top of the injera. The greater the number of people, the bigger the gebeta.

Also, eating together is an essential part of the Ethiopian culture and feeding each other (called Gursha) is often a loving and caring thing to do.
